What are market and limit orders?
When trading cryptocurrencies, one of the first things you need to know is how to buy and/or sell assets. The two basic types of orders are Market Orders and Limit Orders.
A market order is a request to buy or sell a specific asset on the market for the current trading price. These orders are usually fulfilled immediately
However, you have no control over the price, which could change after you place your order. Market orders are best for traders who want to exchange assets quickly.

- On the right side, indicate Buy or Sell and Market
- Specify the quantities you want to trade
- Click the Buy or Sell button at the bottom to conclude the transaction
A limit order is an order to sell or buy an asset at a price that might be higher or lower than the current market price. A limit order will be placed in the order book, and when it matches another trader's order, the trades are executed.
The main advantage is the ability to specify your own minimum or maximum price for buying & selling. This is useful for traders who want to buy & sell assets at the best possible price.
