2FA and TOTP

Two-factor authentication is a security measure used to ensure account activity is legitimate and authorized. Cryptal recommends Google Authenticator to provide time-based one-time passcodes (TOTP). Other compatible TOTP applications may also be used.

How to add Cryptal to your 2FA app

1. Enable TOTP Authentication in your Cryptal profile security settings
2. Open your TOTP app on your mobile phone
3. Click add (+) and scan in the QR code displayed on Cryptal (or enter the secret key) to create your Cryptal account in your app
4. Use the passcode shown in the app when prompted to add it on Cryptal
